Key Person Transition

Background

A medical services organization was experiencing significant growth and working with the accounting department to transform functions and systems in order to scale with the growth. Progress was lacking when the Corporate Controller resigned followed quickly by resignations of two other key accounting personnel. Grandin was hired to take over the key accounting functions, create stability, implement improvements to assist with scaling, and create documentation for a smooth transition to the new team.

Solution

Grandin dedicated a hands-on, experienced accounting and finance guru with significant experience to take over the accounting operations. She was supported by a Senior Accountant from Grandin and key transactions were prioritized in AP and payroll to meet the daily and weekly requirements of the accounting department. More complex processes and transactions were reverse engineered in order to make up for the lack of documentation and to accommodate this unplanned transition.
